First Impressions...

When first logging in to Platinum Resell Right, I have to admit I had my doubts. It felt like it might just be another wasted opportunity, but I was pleasantly surprised. The welcome page was exactly what I need to be put at ease.

I knew things were going fine when I saw just how much text there was waiting for me. Some might be turned off by the large wall of writing, but I knew it meant there was substance. It wasn’t just a canned and copied stereotypical welcome message. It was relevant and personal. I didn’t feel like a robot was doing the communicating. It felt like a real-life person with expertise and some actual care behind their words was behind the site and the message. 

Not only was it personal, it was thorough and engaging enough to keep me moving forward. As a total beginner, I was glad it wasn’t assumed that I was an expert. There were directions to get me started, and they were simple and straightforward enough to apply to the most inexperienced of users. I can’t even begin to explain how little I understood about this process.

In particular, the “Setup Your First Product” video went a long way towards making me feel comfortable and at ease with the site and products. The delivery was comforting and the claim that “all will become clear” was not only reassuring but true. The video was rather long, but the included transcript allowed me to focus during my first listen, and then go back for reference later without issues.

On the other side of that coin, it seems if you’re someone who knows what’s going on, you don’t have to filter through a bunch basic information, but instead you’re provided with shortcuts to accelerate the process.
Of course, the most important part of Platinum Resell Rights are the products themselves. I’m rather picky in regards to professionalism. I’m sick of seeing poorly crafted and unprofessional junk all over the web . I was genuinely surprised to see that the products offered were almost without exception professional looking on the outside, and high quality on the inside. The graphic design doesn’t come off amateurish, like you might expect, and the overall presentation is actually pretty engaging thanks to dynamic visuals and catchy taglines. With the actual product videos and dialogues, the graphics aren’t quite as well executed, but do effectively convey the various strategies and methods being delivered.

The products themselves are stuffed with loads of material. The Super Time Management module, for instance,  includes a plethora of useful time management strategies delivered in a variety of effective ways. There are hours of high quality components with a lot of attention to detail. The products are going to be easy to market, and will definitely prove useful to the end user, assuring that they will return for more in the future.

I was extremely glad to see that bonus products were offered with membership. It was an unexpected treat that really upped the value of membership. Not only were they a bonus, but they retained the same quality as the standard products.

The process of setting up your site and selling products is simple enough after going through all educating modules that are offered. For those who are willing to take things a step further (and they should), there are various extra materials offered to make life easier. These include Brandable Squeeze Pages, Private Label  Squeeze Pages, Copy 'n' Paste Emails, Copy 'n' Paste Cross-Sells, Photoshop Scripts, and MiniSite Graphics. Each of these extras make the entire process more painless and will make you a much more effective seller once you’ve used them.

I think the one aspect that was the most useful to me was the huge assortment of traffic training modules. You can’t sell without potential customers, and getting traffic to your website is the first step to earning those customers. There are a lot of traffic videos, more than I can count in fact, and though they each differ in their effectiveness, there is something to take from all of them. It may seem overwhelming at first, but if you take your time to work through each traffic training module and then implement the strategies, you will almost certainly start to see results.  

All in all, I was quite happy with what the Platinum Resell Rights membership had to offer. Unlike a lot of similar memberships which drop you off into a giant pile of information without any guidance or care, this membership puts the user first. You feel welcome and cared for, with as much instruction as actual product. There is a lot of attention to detail in every step, and there’s real value in the membership.

What About Training?...

Once you’re ready to get started and you download the resell rights products, there’s still a lot to do. Unfortunately just downloading the resell rights products leaves a user with a lot of questions. It looks like a pile of files without any semblance of direction. If I’d been left on my own at that point I’d have been totally lost and disappointed. Thankfully Platinum Resell Rights doesn’t leave you hanging without any further guidance.

The setup webinar with Chris Farrell helps you take that meaningless group of files you just downloaded and make sense of them. I really can’t describe just how helpful the video was for me. I was completely overwhelmed, but the video assumes that and walks through each step with patience and care. You don’t need to know anything other than basic computer operations to get through the setup. There are helpful diagrams to go along with the instructions and help visualize the process.  I finally managed to get the demo product set up with the help of Chris and his thorough directions.

It does take a substantial time commitment to go through the entire tutorial, but it’s more than worth it for the guidance it provides. It helped me to set aside a block of time to go through it all at once, and you may struggle if you try to break the tutorial up into numerous parts. Completing it all with some attention and focus gives you the know-how and confidence to set up a website and use it effectively to market your resell rights products. Don’t forget to download the “Articles 4 Newbies” product to work alongside the video. That’s a pretty important tool to follow along and help the video make so much more sense. I was able to handle everything by myself, and remember, this is all for someone who had no idea what was going on at first.

Specifically I learned what each of the files was meant for and how to use them. Before the video they looked like a jumbled mess, and afterwards they each had a purpose and function. I learned how to associate specific products with the different formats of websites available to market them (such as 7-day guarantees compared to 30-day guarantees). I picked up strategies to keep everything organized, and as someone who tends to get disorganized and confused, this was a welcome bonus. I didn’t know how to work with Paypal, but I was able to set up an account and get things moving slowly. There weren’t a lot of tips on using HTML and FTP programs, so I had to seek outside help for those elements.

I think the single most helpful element of the setup video was that I went from an unmotivated and confused individual to someone who suddenly had the confidence to start the process and start my sites and marketing. Even if you’re confused and hesitant, spending on the time on the tutorial will get you ready In just a couple hours.

The Bonus That Weren't Mentioned On The Page...

One great aspect of the membership with Platinum Resell Rights are the bonus offers. With one particular bonus offer, there was a lot to be gained.

To help you market this fire sale, there is a professional high quality video included. This is something you can use in a variety of places to make your product look better and make potential customers more likely to commit their money. Most marketing videos come off as amateurish and feel like pandering, but this one has a considerably more authentic and professional feel to it. I thought it was a great addition and just another aspect that made the bonus product more valuable to me.

The products themselves  don’t disappoint. The Ebooks are long, knowledgeable, and well designed. Not only do they look professional, but they’re full of substance to back up the graphics. Buyers won’t be surprised by poor quality, and I can imagine the Ebooks will even pleasantly surprise many people. They’re delivered via easy-to-read PDFs and look great on the inside. This is something you can be proud to sell to customers. An example page from an Ebook is shown in the image below. You may notice the interesting quotes to start chapters, the clean text organization, and the useful strategies being discussed.

The normal products included with a membership are more than enough to cover the costs, but bonuses like this come off just wonderfully. I don’t think they’re necessary for you to be happy with a membership, they are truly just a bonus that give you a lot more opportunities to make more money. The products aren’t compromising quality or standards, so there really aren’t any downfalls, making them a bonus in every sense of the word.

What If I Want To Change The Product A Bit?...

One of the great things offered by Platinum Resell Rights is the ability to use their Photoshop Action Scripts. What these allow you to do is take standard products and then not only rename them, but to change the images to match. This means you can create your own branding initiative instead of relying on the standard ones. You can take the same products everyone else is selling and make them unique to yourself, increasing their perceived value to potential buyers. I think this is a pretty great option that sets Platinum Resell Rights apart from competitors.

You can take these action scripts and create eCovers for all of the products. You will need to have Adobe Photoshop installed on your computer to make use of these action scripts. Thankfully I do happen to have access to Photoshop (although not on my home computer), so I was able to take advantage of these scripts to make my own eCovers with my own logos and names. It was actually a pretty fun and creative process, allowing you to stretch your artistic muscles instead of relying on your business ones all the time.

I would be remiss to suggest that this is a quick and easy process, because it’s not. It takes some work to learn and utilize these scripts. If you want everything to look just right, you’ll have to spend some time to get it there. Users who are particularly adept at Photoshop may be much quicker, but those of us with less experience will have to spend more time to perfect things.

Thankfully Platinum Resell Rights doesn’t leave you hanging, but provides a step-by-step tutorial to help you use the scripts. I would have once again been totally lost without this guide, as I didn’t have any idea how to use scripts in Photoshop. The tutorial is great because it not only goes step-by-step but also includes images to show you exactly what each step will look like in the program. The image below shows an example of a few steps and the images that guide you through the process precisely.

Even for an amateur Photoshop user like me, the steps weren’t too difficult to follow. It took a little patience and trial and error, but with the guide you’ll eventually be able to make your own covers. It feels great to take a standard internet marketing product and make it more your own, which is exactly what these scripts allow you to do. Building your own brand is such an advantage and these scripts give you a leg up on that process.

Do keep in mind that these Photoshop action scripts do not come with resell rights. This means that your membership with Platinum Resell Rights gives you an advantage to non-members, as they won’t have access to these useful tools and tutorials. That’s great added value and I really appreciate it.

Any Other Extras That You Should Know About?...

To make your site and your product stand out, you’re going to need some great graphics to spruce things up. With my Platinum Resell Rights membership, that’s not something I ever had to worry about, because there are a variety of graphics included.

Instead of hoping a graphic designer creates what you want, you can go through the huge variety of graphics included with your membership and find the one that works perfectly. And these graphics are designed with marketing your products in mind, so they’re relevant and useful, not just a random assortment of bad clipart as I was expecting I’d get. Those words may not mean much to you now, but after the video you’ll be cruising through the process thanks to the step by step verbal and visual instructions. You can pause and rewind the video any time to take it at your own pace, which helped me and my fumbling fingers get through each step. This isn’t an overwhelming process by any means, but I’m glad the video didn’t assume I was already knowledgeable in the material.

The second video builds off the first tutorial by teaching you how to use the scripts you just installed. This is a longer process and will require a bit more attention and care to get through each of the steps. The reassurance that I didn’t have to be a graphic designer to get through this process was a welcoming one, as was the general care and patience the teacher displayed in the video.

The third tutorial video teaches you how to add text and images to the graphics you’ve created in the second step. This is a pretty important piece of information if you want to get graphics to convey your message or brand in a precise and convincing way. Strategies to make your text match the icon, as well tips on using symbols inside of graphics are all discussed. This was an especially helpful tutorial to me, as adding text inside of icons is a pretty vital part of getting my brand identity across.

The final 3D Icon Maker tutorial video really helps you bring all the pieces together to create a finished and professional looking image. It teaches the user how to add shadows and reflections to the icons and graphics they’ve created. These really add an extra level of flash and attractiveness, making the graphics jump off the screen. As with the rest of the videos, it was a thorough and easy-to-follow guide that got even the most amateur Photoshop user through the process. All in all, these videos are just another great addition offered to members. I probably wouldn’t have known what I was missing without them, but I’m relieved they’re included because they add so much value and utility to my marketing initiatives. How Much Will I Make?...

I think this is the question we'd all like to know before we invest in any 'make money' online program. I'm still in the middle of setting out my system. So far I have a squeeze page setup, the products uploaded and prepared for selling, emails in my auto-responder sequence and now I'm going through the 100 traffic videos to start promoting myself.

This may sound like a lot of work at first, but these are all initial steps that you have to take before anything will happen. Like everything else practice makes perfect and it should take you more than 5 minutes to upload a new product to your server ready for selling.
